Ligue 1 transfer window 2027: dates and deadline
The Ligue 1 registration period for the 2027 winter market opens on 01 January 2027 and closes at 1 Feb 2027, 19:59 CET. Below is the countdown, the summer reference and what the deadline actually decides.
Winter window
| Stage | Date and time | Time left |
|---|---|---|
| Opens | 01 January 2027, 00:00 UTC | — |
| Closes | 1 Feb 2027, 19:59 CET | — |
Confirmed by the Ligue 1 board.
What this deadline means
The window is a registration period, so the date that matters is the moment the filing system closes, not the moment a fee is agreed. A deal announced after the deadline can only be registered when the next window opens.
Ligue 1 runs its own calendar. Nothing obliges France to align its dates with the other leagues in this reference, and the confirmed calendar proves the point: the five leagues close within a day of each other, but not at the same hour.
The mid-season period is capped at four weeks by the FIFA regulations, which is why January business is compressed and why the final 48 hours carry a disproportionate share of the deals.
- Opens 01 January 2027 and closes 1 Feb 2027, 19:59 CET
- Registration only: negotiations can start earlier
- Loans count as registrations and follow the same deadline
- Free agents can be signed outside the period under the defined exception
